How to Use the Ear Training Tool

The Ear Training Tool helps you improve your ability to recognize chords and intervals by ear. You can choose to practice either chords or melodic intervals, and get immediate feedback on your answers.

• Mode Selection: Choose between "Chords" and "Intervals" using the dropdown menu. Chords will test your chord recognition, and Intervals will test your ability to hear ascending or descending melodic intervals.

• Play / Replay: Plays the current chord or interval. If you want to hear the same sound again, press this button.

• Next: Generates a new chord or interval for practice.

• Answer Buttons: Click the button corresponding to your guess. Each option is labeled with its chord type or interval name.

After you select an answer, the buttons will provide visual feedback: green indicates a correct choice, red indicates an incorrect choice, and the correct answer will flash green if you guessed wrong. Use this feedback to track your progress and train your ear for both chords and intervals.
